FAQS

How often should I do it?

We recommend doing at least 3-5 treatments per week. You can treat daily, but no more than 2x/day (spaced out to morning and evening). In this case we would treat in the morning and evening

What is the difference between red and near infrared light?

Red light and near-infrared light both offer various benefits to the body, but they differ in their penetration depths and the specific effects they have on the body’s cells and tissues

Can I wear makeup while doing my treatments?

Yes, you can. It won’t hurt anything, however, red and near infrared light therapy works best on clean, bare skin.

Can I get a tan from red light therapy?

No, there is no UVA or UVB light (the light that can burn your skin) emitted from our devices. You will NOT get a tan.

Can I use red light therapy with other treatments or skincare products?

Red light therapy can be used in conjunction with other treatments and skincare products, but it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional or dermatologist to ensure compatibility and avoid any adverse reactions. Some medications can make people sensitive to light.

Can you overdose on red light therapy?

Red light therapy follows what is known as a biphasic dose response. This refers to the phenomenon where the biological response to red light therapy changes depending on the intensity and duration of the treatment. In other words, there is an optimal range of light intensity and duration that can produce the desired therapeutic effects, while both too little and too much can result in reduced effective- ness. Nothing bad will happen, however you may leave some benefits on the table by over or under treating.

Should I use red, near infrared, or both together?

We generally recommend using both the red and near infrared lights together for your treatments. The only time to consider Red Only is if you have melasma since it could be exacerbated by the near infrared lights.
